This segment of our business provides materials handling, transload and transportation related services for customer inventory. In addition, our Caprock group provides tubular refurbishment, manufacturing and supplies products to a variety of industries.

Gateway’s interface with CN rail enables us to provide transload services for either inbound or outbound materials.  Products can be transferred to and from rail, truck or containers.  The materials and products we handle include:

Handling, Storage and Transload

The handling services are primarily used during drilling, exploration, completions and construction activities in the oil, gas, geotherm and pipeline sectors.  Our operations provide specialized handling, storage and management of our client’s inventory including:   

• Drilling mud and fluid 
• Pipe and related products
• Construction materials
• Access and rig matting
• Equipment
• Bulk commodities and more 

Many of our facilities have onsite rail spurs or access to a rail spur and provide transload services for either inbound or outbound materials.  Products can be transfered to and from rail, truck or containers.  Our transload services include: 

• Tubular and materials handling, storage and management
• Offloading or loading materials for staging or storage
• Product transfers to and from truck, rail and containers
• Material sorting
• Container destuffing / stuffing
• Handle over dimension loads
• Complimentary trucking services

Tubular Refurbishment, Manufacturing and Supply

Caprock purchases new and used pipe.  Suitable inventory originally manufactured for downhole applications is reworked to new material specifications.  The tubulars are inspected, tested, rethreaded and refurbished to provide the same utility as newly milled product. Caprock supplies new, refurbished and structural inventory to a variety of markets.
